This project was a pleasure to work on. I built this trailer while living in New York City with my then girlfriend. We lived and travelled in it for 6 months and reloacted to San Diego where we now live happily married with 2 dogs.
I was commisioned to design and install lighting pieces in multiple bars and restaurants in New York City. These lights are made of industrial black metal pipe and vintage style edison bulbs.
I built many style lights including large intricate wall pieces, chandeliers, sconces and of table lights.
A friend introduced me to a client who wanted some industrial style shelving in his new office which was located inside a really cool warehouse loft building in Brooklyn
The client wanted the shelving to compliment the new wall art he was hanging. So I designed it around these heavy framed graffiti pieces.
I chose maple to add a minimalistic and light feel to the space. It looks good against the white wall and is contrasted nicely with the black pipe.
The client also requested matching stand alone shelves of the same style.
These shelves are very heavy. with 1.5" thick maple and 3/4" back pipe. The grain has beautiful patterns. This was a fun project as I rarely get to create matching pieces.
